A docu-fiction short film inspired by a true story published in a recognized publication.

After a morning shift at a warehouse in Tokyo, NAGANO, a former kickboxer, boards an empty local bus and takes a designated priority seat. A few stops later, he wakes to find the bus crowded. A pregnant woman boards in search of a priority seat and finds herself standing directly in front of him.

In Japan, priority seats are reserved for elderly and disabled passengers, pregnant women, and adults traveling with infants.

When two elderly passengers seated in the priority section get off at a stop, their seats become available. The pregnant woman, however, remains standing. Refusing to take either vacant seat, she continues to fixate on the seemingly able-bodied NAGANO and the priority seat he occupies.

Music by Bach evokes the perpetual motion of a bus.

2022| “Christie Done It”

In November 1949, Beryl Evans and her baby, Geraldine, are murdered in their Notting Hill home. Timothy Evans, a lorry driver, father to Geraldine and wife to Beryl, is eventually executed for the murder. Yet just 3 years later, it was discovered that John Christie had murdered at least eight women in the same building.

Where is the truth in the mess of lies, false confessions by Timothy, and a justice system biased towards Christie? Concept inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s Rashomon.

Adaptation of the play by August Strindberg. Inspired by Ingmar Bergman’s Persona.

Two women meet in a dressing room inside a theatre. Who’s “the stronger” woman — X who remains married to her husband despite knowing he’s cheating with Y, or Y who remains silent about the accusations?
